port zone. Detail the operational switch the crew must make, explain the
compliance risks of failing to transition, and discuss the economic trade-off
between using compliant low-sulfur fuel (VLSFO) versus running a scrubber

7 (a) Outline the five-step safety briefing you will
give to the junior electrical engineer regarding safe entry and cleaning
procedures inside the dead main switchboard. [5]

the ship's Safety Management System. [6]
