Question
What is the
operational impedance of an R.C. Circuit? Describe its usefulness.
Due to capacitance
the voltage lags the current and so can be seen from the graph
i.e. is in downward
direction.
The impedance
Z is given as
Z = √( R )2 + (Xe) 2
Xe –: capacitor reactance.
And Ve = / 2πfc Ω
f – frequency. c – capacitance if farade.
This R.C
circuit can be used in 2 ways.
Such R.C
circuits are widely used in electronic circuits
Filter circuit-
to remove pulsation from rectifier and AC
Phase shift
circuit – where 180degree phase difference is needed.
Operational
amplifiers – where high I/P impedance is needed
Timer circuit
Electronic circuit.
